Want to jump right in? This month's Substories are posted here!. As for what's been going on...

Just like the TDM set up, Jigokucho is in recovery mode after the dissipation of a curse that befell the city. It was a full-on horror apocalypse.

The curse is gone, there are rumors stirring that the turf war has ended, and the Kappa are all going back down to work on building… something. It’s all pretty hush-hush, but anyone that’s not in the Department can ask freely about it. The Enma has bigger things to be concerned with already anyway (namely the newly named cause of the curse: Haniyasu).

So what does that mean for the next two months? Well, between whatever it is being cooked up in the Underground and everything else, the theme of these two months is Tanabata! How that celebration takes shape in a place like Jigokucho will be revealed as the month goes on, so stay tuned to find out more!

Tell us about yourself: EST! Weekends are when I'm most available, but I'll backtag forever and am happy to plan or handwave things too. As for myself, I love video games, cats, and art. Living in cloudy Michigan.

Character Name: Hythlodaeus
Canon: Final Fantasy XIV
Character Age: old AF but still looks like he's in his 20s. He's annoying like that.
Faction: Sutoku
Brief Rundown: Kind-hearted but mischievous best friend to Azem (and Emet-Selch). He's friendly, chatty, always smiling, and loves causing trouble. Would prefer to do as little work as possible and just enjoy life. He does come with a lot of spoilers so please let me know if you would prefer to avoid them!

Initial Ideas: Hythlodaeus has just arrived and is bemused but ready to mingle!! He loves meeting new people and having new experiences, so he'll be exploring the city, learning about modern life (seriously, his people do not have money. Or organized crime. This is going to be a ride y'all), and hopefully finding out about fashion. He's open to pretty much anything at this point and would be happy to have people show him around.

CR Desires: Hyth would like to make a lot of friends, thank you. Without going too far into canon's story, he hasn't had the opportunity to meet a lot of new folks lately, so he'll relish the opportunity to go out and be social. He's pretty easy to get along with, even for normally antagonistic or prickly personalities.

He might also need some faction mentors - he's been assigned to Sutoku and he has very little concept of finances. He does know about administrative work and business organization – his job back home is Chief of the Bureau of the Architect, which means he looks over new objects, creatures, buildings, etc. and determines whether they would be “beneficial” to the planet; so he'll be good at paperwork, at least...once he can be convinced to stop lazing around and do it.

I'm definitely not against enemies either, but keep in mind that Hythlodaeus may disengage rather than fight. Although his people enjoy debating, so he could very well be up for some rousing discussions!

Finally, smut. Look, I'm just gonna...leave his kinklist here. Just in case anyone wants to check it out. 👀
