Just like the TDM set up, Jigokucho is in recovery mode after the dissipation of a curse that befell the city. It was a full-on horror apocalypse.

The curse is gone, there are rumors stirring that the turf war has ended, and the Kappa are all going back down to work on building… something. It’s all pretty hush-hush, but anyone that’s not in the Department can ask freely about it. The Enma has bigger things to be concerned with already anyway (namely the newly named cause of the curse: Haniyasu).

So what does that mean for the next two months? Well, between whatever it is being cooked up in the Underground and everything else, the theme of these two months is Tanabata! How that celebration takes shape in a place like Jigokucho will be revealed as the month goes on, so stay tuned to find out more!

From reading his personality, it sounds like these two could be quite similar LOL

Matoba here is the head of a Shinto exorcist clan from rural Kumamoto! He's from modern(ish) day but quite traditionalist; when you deal with youkai and stuffy clan politics all the time you end up being kind of... old-souled. But his true nature is that of a troublemaking gremlin and he loves twisting people up with his words.

He hates youkai and non-humans but humans that have turned themselves into monsters are particularly ...interesting to them. I think it could be some neat CR!

Sannan's kind of equal parts sharp-tongued anti-everyone and forgiving to a fault. It's a character flaw or 7 I know. It's worth noting that Sannan's historical counterpart was very not down with harassing religious folks and demanding things from them and that goes somewhat into what prompts him to turn himself Vampire Lite as his opinions on the matter are disregarded. So there's possibly layers of INTERESTING to this!!!

I would be absolutely interested in seeing where they'd go!
