Just like the TDM set up, Jigokucho is in recovery mode after the dissipation of a curse that befell the city. It was a full-on horror apocalypse.

The curse is gone, there are rumors stirring that the turf war has ended, and the Kappa are all going back down to work on building… something. It’s all pretty hush-hush, but anyone that’s not in the Department can ask freely about it. The Enma has bigger things to be concerned with already anyway (namely the newly named cause of the curse: Haniyasu).

So what does that mean for the next two months? Well, between whatever it is being cooked up in the Underground and everything else, the theme of these two months is Tanabata! How that celebration takes shape in a place like Jigokucho will be revealed as the month goes on, so stay tuned to find out more!

Tell us about yourself: hey gamers, my name is celene (all lowercase, cel if you're nasty) and i am here with leviathan astrape, an OC who started off as a very obtuse cyberpunk AU of pandoria from xenoblade chronicles 2 but who is now something entirely their own. i'm EST and usually tag... man, i'm used to saying in the evenings, but work is Wild lately so i tag whenever i can steal a few minutes in the day, i guess. other interests include soulslikes, making music, and playing the fourteenth game in the hit japanese role playing video game series final fantasy. i'm not especially good at talking about myself so please enjoy leviathan instead.

Brief Rundown: Levi (they/them) is the former heir to the biggest energy company in their home of New Gate City. They grew up living the pampered life and learning how to function in high society with the intent that they would inherit the company and all its subsidiaries as soon as their parents decided to pack it in. Unfortunately, a mutation manifested in their body in their teenage years, something that generated excess electricity within their heart and made them capable of channeling lightning through their hands, and—well, the Central Ward just doesn't have mutants, don't you see? So basically a lot of stuff happened and they ended up getting stripped of their inheritance and thrown out at 18. (Their parents even faked their death, it's very cool and chill.) And they've been working kind of as a professional philanthropist for most of the past decade, serving as one of the longer-standing members of the Neo Sapien Organization where they're receiving housing, education, and employment in return for their services. They provide free power to the underprivileged whenever they can, because their parents suck and Carassia Energy can burn, and otherwise they're just trying to get by. (also they're a gamer check out their gamertag Levirage for some sick Apex wins brah)

Initial Ideas: well, based on their TDM thread, i think a lot of levi's current motivation is "fuck the enma, here's 95 reasons why". but they're also looking for little things that make Hell feel more like home, things like the neon and steel and concrete and the cute little convenience stores and stuff like that. they also are definitely going to need some help with their heart, and i hear we have a clinic for that? wild if true. otherwise i'm mostly gonna be checking out what sutoku's gonna have them doing, because if i'm honest i was not expecting them to end up in tengu town.

CR Desires: do we got any geeks and gamers in the crowd tonight? anyone with advanced genders? any other meta-humans here? no? they're the only one of those? that's cool, no problem. basically levi does best when they know other people who they can trust to do generally the right thing by the most people possible. but they also have this tendency to do stuff that's bad for them, because impulse control is hard sometimes, so if they know anyone who makes their heart race for good or bad reasons then that's also definitely on the table. also if there's anything of interest in their quick info post here then have at

in exchange he can translate sutoku orders since daitengu is sick hype and the best leader an acquired taste for many people. then again levi comes from a futurepunk so daitengu and their they/theming is probably sick hype at face value. but they can start the fanclub in that case!!!

well it'll be fuckin funny that's for sure, all right they're gonna do it. they'll make a gamer out of tama yet. and yeah i think levi probably needs some Assistance interpreting what exactly the daitengu wants because they are very used to getting much clearer orders. from, like, an actual boss at an actual organization, instead of someone who would insist that everyone in their faction eat the star dust for funsies just to see what happens

yeah i think the most "orders" daitengu has ever given the low ranks is like...talk to lots of people and get the tea. thats probably real bewildering but shockingly tama has clocked it even from his starless rank so hes an apt enough translator for the time being

love the idea that Leviathan got so poisoned TRUTHED with anti-enma propaganda in the tdm that the daitengu just pointed and went That, I Want That One.

mina can point levi to the clinic if need be, which is a plus, but he is also firmly on team Do Not Eat Rocks That Fell From the Sky, which could be a minus. I'd say sorry but he's also still mentally reeling from the "what do you mean Japan and most of the rest of the planet aren't there in your timeline" thing.

yes! in an unexpected and sudden mutation, no less, but at least they've had like 12 years to get used to it by now. levi's got some experience helping new meta-humans adjust to their abilities if that's something kate needs help with or anything like that, or this could also just be something for them to bond a little over so meta-humanity doesn't feel like such a foreign concept around here. i can party with whatever you think would be most interesting there!
