Just like the TDM set up, Jigokucho is in recovery mode after the dissipation of a curse that befell the city. It was a full-on horror apocalypse.

The curse is gone, there are rumors stirring that the turf war has ended, and the Kappa are all going back down to work on building… something. It’s all pretty hush-hush, but anyone that’s not in the Department can ask freely about it. The Enma has bigger things to be concerned with already anyway (namely the newly named cause of the curse: Haniyasu).

So what does that mean for the next two months? Well, between whatever it is being cooked up in the Underground and everything else, the theme of these two months is Tanabata! How that celebration takes shape in a place like Jigokucho will be revealed as the month goes on, so stay tuned to find out more!

I've been having a lot of fun with it as well! And yes, I think continuing the teamwork by hunting down and (well, if Yang has his way) beating up the pervert might be a good extension to these vibes. I'm on board with either roomies or neighbors - maybe they can begin as neighbors and maybe end up as roomies over time? Yang spends a lot of time on the rooftop, so that's somewhere they can potentially meet again.

They can be cute like that together. At one point, Yang will also bring up the fact that he doesn't believe in angels... to Shealtiel, who he doesn't know is an actual angel. Yes, he'll need to get word from him directly on that, I'm sorry kjkgdjh

oh my god I love all of this. I can see them totally working together to find and beat up a pervert. shealtiel is all for violence, even if his face might make him seem like he's not. he's tiny but aggressive.

neighbors turning potentially more sounds super cute too!! shealtiel would go to the roof a lot to watch the sky for reasons, so they can meet there occasionally. and PLEASE have him say this so shealtiel can yell angrily about how HE is an angel, but then refuse to pull his wings out to prove it.

There's no way to bond like combining mutual dislike and violence. Seeing that Shealtiel knows how to fight will make Yang actually... take him more seriously, so that's only a good thing.

Agreed, it'd be a good follow-up to teamwork that actually went well bc it wasn't a menial chore. And yes, Yang will say with a straight face that angels don't exist and he'll only believe it if Shealtiel "proves" it to him... even if he gets the impression that Shealtiel is actually telling the truth. Those are the vibes, I apologize.

never apologize, I live for people causing shealtiel to react in rage. this is all great.

I wasn't sure if anyone would be able to get shealtiel to reveal his wings since he hides them for trauma reasons, but with that sort of tactic, it may happen at some point. eventually. and until then, bickering and fun cute things!! are you going to be putting a top level up with the mingle? if you don't have a generic starter in mind for chasing substory 2 (I think that was it right), then I could always write a closed starter for you! I'm just going to be on a week vacation starting this weekend so possibly only around short times in the evenings.

I love to hear it! They'll make a great pair then.

While I tend to prefer closed starters, I do plan on top-leveling with a couple prompts since it’s my first event, and that will include 2! So I think we can work from there. And no worries — take your time. Unless I catch a top level from you with that same prompt, I’ll slide over a link when I have it ready.
