Want to jump right in? This month's Substories are posted here!. As for what's been going on...

Just like the TDM set up, Jigokucho is in recovery mode after the dissipation of a curse that befell the city. It was a full-on horror apocalypse.

The curse is gone, there are rumors stirring that the turf war has ended, and the Kappa are all going back down to work on building… something. It’s all pretty hush-hush, but anyone that’s not in the Department can ask freely about it. The Enma has bigger things to be concerned with already anyway (namely the newly named cause of the curse: Haniyasu).

So what does that mean for the next two months? Well, between whatever it is being cooked up in the Underground and everything else, the theme of these two months is Tanabata! How that celebration takes shape in a place like Jigokucho will be revealed as the month goes on, so stay tuned to find out more!

Tell us about yourself: HELLO I haven't been in a game for almost a decade bUT HERE I AM lmao. My main hobbies are gaming, mostly. You can catch me playing multiple games, but my favs are ff14, genshin, ai somnium series, final fantasy series, fatal frame, persona... yeah. My other love is cooking, so feel free to catch me on plurk for recipes or w/e.

idk what else to put here, but i'm also a caregiver. so i'm all over the place.

Brief Rundown: She's the headmistress of the military/magical school of her world. She's a former war hero (criminal if you so choose), that basically has ptsd after all the shit that she's been through but she looks on the bright side most of the time. She's a massive troll that likes to tease people, but she's pretty kind over all. A bit violent at times, but nice!

Initial Ideas:
- Teaching people how to fight. Her magic is muted here, but she knows how to fist fight, and would love to teach people who don't know how to. She's a good teacher I promise (no she is not she will run you down and tease you till the end of days --). Maybe private classes for people in sutoku??

- I would love for her to use her special ops skill set at some point!! She specializes in contract killings, and spying/undercover work.

- Substory #2: She would provide good entertainment, and try and beat Mr. Libido up. Would love to have someone team up with her for the grab, while she throws this man out of the city.

- Substory #4: THIS SOUNDS SO CUTE. She loves festivals, and would be drinking/eating while she's collecting stardust for her Sutoku squad. She would love to have a buddy help her out, or someone to drink with.

CR Desires:
- Fellow militant buddies! She would love to meet more people who have military training. Maybe someone she can spar with while she's here?
- Teacher friends. She is a headmistress so conversing with her fellow instructors would be nice.
- Younger folk! Back home, she works with a lot of teenagers. So people she can teach, and maybe help along the way while she's here.

so I have yuri here who attended a military/magic school... only to get expelled from it orz. I'm not sure how he'd receive a teacher figure, it'll depend, but I can offer young person CR of the delinquent kind... he is capable and bright, I swear

I WOULD LOVE THIS TYPE OF CR!! this is my jam right here, aha. She'll be a bit more sensitive to his type, since she works with students like this, so yuri will be treated with a lot of patience :>

haha, great! he's gone back to gang work since leaving school and this setting obviously doesn't do anything to discourage that but. he can always continue learning. does she teach espionage?

oh noooo he's gonna really remind her of her more vulnerable students back at home :( she's gonna be so worried and make sure that he's okay. Be prepared, because she's gonna chase him across the sanzu if she has to!!

gotcha I thought when you said she did undercover work that meant espionage dfgjhh in which case he /would/ be interested in learning

I'm not planning on topleveling this month but I can keep an eye out if you are. or write a custom starter. whichever you prefer!
