Just like the TDM set up, Jigokucho is in recovery mode after the dissipation of a curse that befell the city. It was a full-on horror apocalypse.

The curse is gone, there are rumors stirring that the turf war has ended, and the Kappa are all going back down to work on building… something. It’s all pretty hush-hush, but anyone that’s not in the Department can ask freely about it. The Enma has bigger things to be concerned with already anyway (namely the newly named cause of the curse: Haniyasu).

So what does that mean for the next two months? Well, between whatever it is being cooked up in the Underground and everything else, the theme of these two months is Tanabata! How that celebration takes shape in a place like Jigokucho will be revealed as the month goes on, so stay tuned to find out more!

Tell us about yourself: I like horror/creepy/cryptids, as well as a lot lot of other things! I end up reading/watching/playing almost anything so I have approximate knowledge of many things. Right now, it's been a two month long run of Disco Elysium. Other main focuses include: magical girls, moths, dnd, and musicals. I also cook a lot and make dice!

I'm in PST, but work nights on weekends so my tagging times are ??? mysterious.

Brief Rundown: Jonathan is from a horror podcast set in London. Originally a researcher and academic at the Magnus Institute, got a promotion to Head Archivist where everything went from bad to literal Hell as monsters and horrors turn out to be real and they are coming after him. He's from the end of his series, so he's got Some Regret. He slowly turned into a monster himself and things somehow Got Worse before it (maybe?) got better.

Initial Ideas: Initially Jon is going to be really surprised and revel in being human again. He'll want to meet the folks in Enma before he realizes how Enma is. He's not going to see much point in division with faction lines once he gets to know anyone. He'll likely be part of one of the substories. I didn't really plan much! Just that he's human so he's going to reacquaint himself with everything that goes along with that (eating, sleeping, being able to be hurt- I mean what). He's also kinda very nearsighted right now and is going to need to find glasses at some point.

CR Desires: Friendly cr, obviously, but Jon can be prickly and an asshole so I am absolutely down for frenemy or negative CR from the start. Jon's used to folks not liking him much given his personality once he's settled into his situations.

okay honestly i would do this. where's marion so harry can watch and laugh. aerith has no physical strength but she's going to do her best to help jon and herself lift SOMETHING. maybe their spirits....

Going back to redo some red checks and losing about 3 hours of playtime through endgame was.... a task.... but I'm So Close.

Thoughts on Real wizards? Sounds fake as hell. I love throwing Jon in rooms with folks to see how long it takes before he pisses someone off.
