Here's a centralized post for plotting out for the event!

Here's a breakdown summary of every prompt on the event;

Bikinis - Characters who didn't have swimwear will be provided it, but they probably are gonna be on the skimpy/tacky side. Play out the embarrassment, or total lack of shame.

Shuten Clan - Shuten activities revolve around volleyball, surfing, shoulder chicken, barbeque, and drinking contests

Tamamo Clan - Tamamo activities involve a wet t-shirt contest, tiki bar, and water gun fights.

Sutoku Alliance - Sutoku activities involve frisbee games, jet skis, and underwater shenanigans

Department of the Enma - Department officers are expected to take short shifts on lifeguard duty, but in exchange get free food and drinks!

Bonfire - A free-for-all happy hour to get out the last of one's revelries before the shit hits the fan..

Cursed City - This is the big one. The containment facility the haniwa were being stored in was compromised, releasing a massive wave of cursed energy into the city all at once from Kaigo no Bou. Captain Shiki is trying to maintain order, but chaos is breaking out everywhere. Faction leaders will do what they can to protect their people, as well.

The curse energy turns Jigokucho into more of an actual hell. Blood rain, massive hauntings, frenzy inducing energy all around. Nightmares from characters own canons can and will manifest, pulled right from their worst fears and dreads.

This will be in effect for the month until a) players manage to find a solution on their own or b) a mod written ending comes about, but either way, you're free to play with this setting change all month.

We do not plan for it to last longer than this month.

Brief Rundown:

First impressions for some key notes. A kind, friendly woman who puts her work before herself, and would love it if she could pass as normal for the rest of her life. Actually a survivor of a looping death game and so used to rolling with the absurd, horrific punches as well as having a slightly skewed concept of how much a human should deal with. A trained doctor, who works as a singer at a Sutoku owned club and also has set up a medical clinic to treat everyone regardless of faction - just don't mention it on the network.

She's here as a Slumscape CRAU, which means she's also currently sharing her body with a tengu spirit who takes over whenever they feel like, as well as having wings as her most visible physical change. The bird does make occasional commentary on her life, but never pops into a thread without an ok.

Initial Ideas:

Beach Party: So, Emily will be attending like a good Sutoku representative, having fun and making sure people don't overheat! For the most part, this is where she'll be trying to relax and enjoy herself. She might be floating by in an inner tube on the water or on the shore - deep water dives don't really agree with wings, but in general, it'll be a nice time. Also, Aerith talked her into a bikini, so she's trying to adhere to more modern values for this time! Whatever kind of cute and fun beach activities you want, hit me up so we can make it happen.

Cursed City: This is the big one, and where I'll be focusing most of my energy.

• Unfortunately, blood rain like this driving people into horror and madness is a pretty big Nope for her, and will immediately send her into panic mode, believing that this is a sign that the world is literally going to start falling apart - it's also going to severely set off the tengu spirit inside her, who may burst out at unexpected moments. The both of them are going to be vulnerable to losing their cool at different moments this entire month, so let me know if you're cool with dealing with that.
  
• Her immediate reaction once calmed down will be to grab Aerith and Shylock to work with her on a medicine/incense to provide a stopgap to the cursed energy, both to protect people in general and to provide support for those trying to investigate the tower. When they figure that out, they'll be letting people know.
  
• For the hallucinations and fears, I'd like to open the floor to custom happenings for people, to create unique and reactive events rather than just dumping sad memories down to deal with. Ideally, we'd be able to blend what's going on to make a cool scene! Emily's nightmares come with such great topics as being hunted down, body horror, mind control, descending into feral madness, inescapable locations, isolation, and memory collapse, among others. I'll touch base to get what people are and are not ok with before writing anything, but let me know if you're interested.
  
• She'll still be there to physically help and heal the injured, but I'd like to keep that section of things lighter since I heavily focused on that during the Night Parade.

given emily is in aerith's CR circle, and aerith's gopher bodyguard is on the scene, I imagine it's pretty likely that if emily needs some muscle for anything - or just someone to run to a combini, cloud will be someone she can tap for it! I'd love to get some CR going between these two, before Cloud goes off to do absolutely stupid things.

I am also entirely down to have Cloud deal with her tengu friend in pretty much any thread - though if we want to have a thread where Cloud and her team up to bash some nightmares in, that also seems like a good place to start.

i'd also love for any sort of interactions that, you know, predate Blood Rain Hell World, but I don't have any good ideas right at this exact moment and I need to be up early for work tomorrow oops

absolutely! since cloud is sutoku, we could say they know each other in passing, particularly with aerith volunteering him for things to get the introductions out of the way. they could also run into each other at the beach if you'd like something more relaxed before the nightmares kick into high gear.

one of the foolhardy idiots on team "investigate the tower" here -- as it is, Minakami has been wanting to approach Emily since learning about the clinic, basically wanting to sound out if she's legit, given his friend Tama is prone to getting sick and has had bad experiences with doctors (and in the next app cycle his med student buddy is potentially coming, with an AMAZING TRACK RECORD of falling in with abusive authority figures). he's going to be so relieved that she actually is chill and def would volunteer to pitch in for heavy lifting and clinic chores on the spot, not just as thanks for working on the curse stopgap.

don't worry Minakami, everyone at the clinic is super chill and vetted to be so, and Emily would be happy to answer any questions he has - she'd take it as more "a yakuza clinic is kind of sketchy" hesitation. and definitely pressing curse medicine into his hands when that's sorted out for support gang, since no one needs to die here.

that said, if he volunteers to help out she'll be super touched! why are these young men being so helpful and nice, warms her heart.

Quick edit to add that while he doesn't have a medical background, Minakami basically has spent his life helping to manage his buddy's hallucinations and has... learned through trial and error how to sit someone through a delusion without spooking them or feeding into it, so he can help pick up slack there also.

hello hello, hallucination/nightmare manifestation stuff is really good for cr. nothing better than shoving trauma out there for everyone to see

i don't want to overload you with threads so maybe we can do an event thing instead of an ic inbox thing (unless you don't mind). megumi will still want to repay her for before, so he's more than happy to help out at her clinic from time to time and we can handwave that he's gone over?

did you have plans for what nightmare emily will be seeing?

handwaving is fine by me! as for what nightmare, i didn't have explicit plans - i was more looking to coordinate with people who wanted custom scenarios, to make something specific to them (and to avoid running into uncomfortable areas), so as far as that goes it's currently wide open.

the main nightmare i wanted to do for megumi would be ...being in a hospital room and seeing his sister in a coma again. his nightmare-sister will then attack him and he'll probably just let it happen

also happy to do something out of emily's backstory, or combine scenarios to make something horrifying for both

Matoba is going to think of Emily pretty quickly when shit starts going down and he will ensure one of his shiki gets to her to provide/strengthen wards in the clinic so that she can keep operations going (with the assumption that uh, a lot of people are going to be getting hurt and she's going to need it!)

Sorry to disappoint right after she called him a good patient but she's going to need to scold him for overextending himself again, lmfao, he is definitely going to be dragging his bleeding carcass around trying to fight back the curses. If any support is needed on that front, he will not be talking shit this time, he will be in serious mode.

thankfully she won't be able to scold matoba too badly to start since her mind will be very much in survival mode - though if he gets too badly injured and he can deal with magic, she can bring him back to fighting fit much, much sooner.

Excellent! I'm waiting to see how hard his curse attack is going to roll him during the event so I have an idea of how badly he is injured and then I can nail down something more concrete on the healing front, but he's going to have to learn some actual teamwork this event 😂

No pressure if you're overloaded as it is (you've got a bunch of takers!!) but I'm always interested in furthering Kim and Emily's CR, especially in avenues in which they'll be forced not to just be polite with one another. Maybe something to do with Emily's hallucinations or youkai pal?

depends on how much you want kim to deal with "oh, this is fucked up actually" since youkai friend is the less intense version of that - it'll just be clear they're freaked and trying to protect emily by taking over. hallucinations are just. There's Issues

I'm down for either if you find yourself with more threads in one area than the other! OOCly, there's nothing I consider to be off-limits for the more horror-esque stuff. Kim is pretty good at grounding himself in reality, so maybe he can help yank her out of one?

so obviously musashi wants to have fun with emily with beach stuff but tbh i'm targeting the nightmare stuff more keenly. musashi will feel a very specific drive to assure emily is safe and cared for, because of that conversation they had just prior to this.

she said the world wouldn't fall out from under emily's feet. now that it is, musashi will be damned if she doesn't catch her.
