June 2022 Event Plotting
Here's a centralized post for plotting out for the event!
Here's a breakdown summary of every prompt on the event;Bikinis - Characters who didn't have swimwear will be provided it, but they probably are gonna be on the skimpy/tacky side. Play out the embarrassment, or total lack of shame. Shuten Clan - Shuten activities revolve around volleyball, surfing, shoulder chicken, barbeque, and drinking contests Tamamo Clan - Tamamo activities involve a wet t-shirt contest, tiki bar, and water gun fights. Sutoku Alliance - Sutoku activities involve frisbee games, jet skis, and underwater shenanigans Department of the Enma - Department officers are expected to take short shifts on lifeguard duty, but in exchange get free food and drinks! Bonfire - A free-for-all happy hour to get out the last of one's revelries before the shit hits the fan.. Cursed City - This is the big one. The containment facility the haniwa were being stored in was compromised, releasing a massive wave of cursed energy into the city all at once from Kaigo no Bou. Captain Shiki is trying to maintain order, but chaos is breaking out everywhere. Faction leaders will do what they can to protect their people, as well.
The curse energy turns Jigokucho into more of an actual hell. Blood rain, massive hauntings, frenzy inducing energy all around. Nightmares from characters own canons can and will manifest, pulled right from their worst fears and dreads.
This will be in effect for the month until a) players manage to find a solution on their own or b) a mod written ending comes about, but either way, you're free to play with this setting change all month.
We do not plan for it to last longer than this month.

Brief Rundown:
Sheliak is a water mage, a being of pure magic inside a human vessel. He was born human but he became a mage when his goddess chose him, along with six others to gift with her magic. He was the perfect son and heir of the noble Saarela house. He dedicated his life to meeting his family's incredibly high expectations and he hides his true self, which he sees as imperfect, behind an icy mask of perfection. His world recently fell apart when his world was destroyed and he learned the nefarious truth about his magic. Sheliak and the other mages fled to Earth, through an ancient portal, where he went from being a revered mage to a monster whose magic will end the world. Feeling betrayed by the goddess that gave him his power and lost without a purpose, Sheliak hides his fears behind a mask of nobility, desperately clinging to the last fragments of the world he lost.
Initial Ideas: I will be making a toplevel for Sheliak
Bikinis - Toraguma told Sheliak to look his best so he's staying far away from the Shuten's tiger striped speedos. He will be wearing a silk version of this with white swim trunks. He has also added a small braid in his hair on one side, which was how his best friend wore his hair so he feels a bit self conscious about it.
Shuten - Sheliak's magic is still sealed so his alcohol tolerance is terrible, but he's used to his magic helping him handle it better so it's the perfect recipe for disaster. Sheliak's less perfect personality slowly comes out more when he's drunk and the added competitiveness is going to speed up the switch. Sheliak's hidden personality is the side he feels he isn't allowed to show, but that he's entitled to due to him always striving to be the perfect like he is asked. He's selfish and impulsive and overall less polished than his icy noble persona. This wilder Sheliak is going to want to compete and naturally win (his arrogance is way worse, I'm sorry in advance), in everything. Drinking contest, volleyball, shoulder chicken, etc. If it's a competition, he's interested. His magic is still sealed so he's at a large disadvantage but he's arrogant enough to think he doesn't need his magic to win. He will be most interested in surfing. He doesn't know what it is but it involves water so his pride as a water mage is on the line!
As for the other clans, he will be extra competitive towards Tamamo. At some point he will discover the Sutoku waterbreathing candies and he will try to take a much desired underwater nap with questionable results. I'm sorry Enma lifeguards for this stubborn fool who will keep trying to sleep underwater until someone manages to stop him. He misses his favorite napping place.
Cursed City - Sheliak will have a terrible time with the cursed energy and I'm planning on playing with two different ways the nightmares will manifest.
The first is a corruption of Sheliak's personality. He's a being made up of magical energy, that is tied to a human soul. The purpose of his magic is to destroy the veil between the real world and a magical dimension that was created by humanity's imagination. If magic flooded the world, it would catastrophically alter the world, destroying the world they know. Sheliak harbors a deep fear for his magic's potential and his role in destroying the world. The cursed energy is going to corrupt the magic within him, and weaken his human hold on it, affectively turning him into the chaotic entity he would be without Sheliak's human soul to keep it in check. Sheliak's magic is still sealed so it will only affect his personality, making him extremely violent and destructive.
The second one is a manifestation of his fear of death. (Sorry for another long section of lore) Water mages can predict death. If their visions are vague and fragmented then they can potentially save someone if they piece the pieces of their vision together. However, the clearer the vision is, the closer that person is to death and if they see a perfectly clear vision of someone's death, there is nothing they can do to change their fate, no matter what they try. Sheliak has seen the death of two important people to him. His young sister, and his best friend and lover Arrakis. He predicted Arrakis's death when they were 17, Arrakis figured it out and they both lived with that terrible knowledge for years before Arrakis died. The fact that he couldn't keep it secret from Arrakis is his greatest regret.
His nightmare is going to be a grim reaper version of Arrakis that resents him for predicting his death.
I'm very excited to play with both of these concepts! When Sheliak isn't being haunted by his mistakes and what he is, he is going to try to distract himself by trying to solve the mystery so the nightmares go away. As a side affect of being haunted by Arrakis, Sheliak is also going to be more open to helping others more, which is what Arrakis would do.

Soo Won | Akatsuki no Yona (Slumscape CRAU) | Tamamo | cw: Akatsuki no Yona spoilers in some prompts
Canon: Akatsuki no Yona
Faction: Tamamo
Brief Rundown:
Soo Won is a murderer with good intentions that hides his secret cunning behind a friendly carefree attitude. He is the young king of Kouka kingdom and he murdered the previous king to stop the country from falling apart under the King Il, the previous king's weak rule. He is the main antagonist in the series but he is a better king and truly cares for his people, despite being a murderer. There is very little that he will not do for his kingdom.
Initial Ideas: Soo Won is also getting a toplevel but hopefully a smaller one than Sheliak's.
The beach part is going to be separated into two parts. One for Soo Won, and one for Miyako, the yokai inside of Soo Won from slumscape.
Musical Performances - Soo Won offered to help provide music for the event so he going to have a small stage set up near the tiki bar for any Tamamo musicians that are interested in performing. (I meant to make a network post with Soo Won looking for fellow musicians but I completely forgot, sorry orz. If you are interested, feel free to say that Soo Won reached out to them somehow.)
After the intial set up Soo Won will become scarce and he will be replaced by Miyako as the musician in red. Soo Won and Miyako have started to create a reputation as the musician in red, a mysterious musician in a red kimono who vanishes after every performance, ever since they arrived in Jigokucho. Soo Won wanted to give Miyako something that wasn't tied to him so he dresses up as a woman for her performances, and he always leaves right after her performance to maintain the illusion.
Miyako will be performing on her (haunted) shamisen. The shamisen has a mind of it's own but it mostly behaves because Miyako has threatened to lock it away to gather dust instead of being played if it doesn't. If you want to play with the haunted aspect of the instrument though, I would love to! It get really competitive towards other instruments and musicians, particularly non traditional ones, as it feels like these young upstarts are trying to take their place. Miyako is a bit more open to new styles of music but she can be influenced by the shamisen as well and musical competitions are the only time they get along.
After Miyako is done performing she is going to try to slip away before anyone notices. If you want to try to catch the mysterious musician in red or stumble on Soo Won suspiciously soon after she disappears, feel free!
Beach Shenanigans - Since the main focus is Miyako's performance this time around, I plan on tagging out with Soo Won for the other beach activities. He will be making his presence known wherever he can to draw attention away from his disappearance in the first part.
Cursed City - As a slumscapee, the blood rain is going to bring back a lot of bad memories for Soo Won. Luckily he had an scare with the blood rain earlier with the haniwa so he won't be as taken off guard but it won't make the trauma go away. So he's going to do what he always does when he's distressed about something, bury himself in work so he doesn't have time to think about his personal feelings. He has a lot of experience with hallucinations due to his time in Hakagemachi, so he will be trying to help others who are suffering from hallucinations as much as he can.
That said I do want to give Soo Won a few nightmares so he will be seeing dead versions of his friends, Hak and Yona, as if he succeeding in killing them instead of them running away, ruins of his kingdom, and for some fun slumscape trauma, reflections of him as a lifeless puppet tied to Miyako's strings. (the last nightmare will have some akatsuki no yona spoilers as it ties directly to a secret of Soo Won's.)
Speaking of Miyako, she is getting her own nightmares too! Soo Won is going to lose conscious at some point and Miyako is going to take control. (this part may also have akatsuki no yona spoilers)
Miyako's nightmares are going to be corruption and a fear of fire. Miyako has a lot of resentment towards humans who never accepted her for the Jorogumo she really is, and yet, she can't help but love the creative potential of humans and the beautiful things they create. Until the last part of slumscape, Miyako didn't have all of her memories so she still had her naïve bright view towards humans, although she felt a bit uneasy towards them but she didn't know why. Now that she remembers how she was rejected, and that her last human lover trapped her in a burning building, which is why she's mute, she's extremely bitter. She didn't have a lot of time to come to terms with her old memories before coming to Jigokucho so what better way to confront her rage than with cursed energy feeding into it. Miyako will see everyone as humans who fear and reject her and she will not take kindly to that at all. If the humans want a monster, she will give them one. (I need to check if Soo Won has enough points for a reward to see if Miyako will have her illusions or not for this event)
An important note about Miyako is that she is mute and she communicates with telepathic music and emotions that can be heard and felt by the people around her, unless she specifically hides her conversations with Soo Won. Soo Won also calls Miyako Yin when he is talking about her to other people. The true names of the yokai inside them held real power in slumscape so Soo Won purposely hides her true name.
