April Event Plotting

We realize we're doing this sort of backwards, but after some discussion and requests from players, we figure it's better late than never for a centralized plotting post for the event! Again, apologies for our growing pains, but we hope y'all are understanding.

Here's a breakdown summary of every prompt on the event;

Hanami The Sutoku Alliance has arranged for spectral cherry blossom trees for flower viewing, offering all kinds of food and drink to enjoy. The foods tend to be "enhanced" with peace/love inducing feelings, but they don't have to be. The spectral trees are a little creepy, if examined too closely.

Kanamura The Tamamo's foods from the mini-event are back, and are taking all kinds of cheeky forms. Sexy foods, but do not strictly need to lead to sexy times.

Hadaka - The Department of the Enma is allowing a naked endurance race, folks packed together in basically nothing, chasing after a mobile shrine and trying to grab luck sticks. Ostensibly it's for blowing off steam. May actually generate steam.

Sumo - The Shuten Clan is hosting sumo fights, and rules are expected to be followed. Shuten representatives are also expected to win any match they participate in, less they lose some pay. The prizes for winning are special sake gourds that enhance the flaovor of any drink contained within.

Food Runners - Need extra cash? Do some food running, with some extremely difficult to manage delivery gear. But the pay's good!

Bathhouse Orgy - As promised, the Tamamo have opened up their bathhouses on the route up for free-for-all fuckin'. All manner of kinks will be provided for, and some of the bathhouses will have transparency glamours cast on them to allow shows to be put on. This is the horniest prompt, by far.

Floats - Help carry elaborate lantern floats depicting huge dioramas of famous mythological events throughout Japan's history, though the depicted heroes and villains seem to be reversed...

Fireworks - Explains itself, but the fireworks are especially fantastic since they're largely created by magic, rather than simply pyrotechnics.

The assassination - The Daitengu will be assassinated in the outcome of the underground machine causing a massive cloud of steam to flood the entire parade route. Panic will ensure, and black-suited youkai will clash with the White Wolf Guard, eventually succeeding in killing the Daitengu

YOUR ADHD BRAIN DESCRIPTION IS PAINFULLY RELATABLE. And also why I didn't really hit anyone up OOC last month, RIP.

If you wouldn't mind, I would love for Lan Wangji to have found some way to get himself invited to the Sutoku meetup even without pre-existing onscreen CR -- another "bless you for providing gossip central networking opportunities" over here from me.

Lan Wangji did have some information, plans and abilities relevant to the event, and I'm totally open to Ryouma finding out about them or engaging with any of that either onscreen or offscreen. Or, you know, randomly meeting new friends by getting shot. Like you do.

They definitely could have exchanged info at some point! Or you can assume that he got Ryouma's info secondhand and showed up anyway! He's probably going to be pursuing the assassins and doing a little investigation in that direction immediately after the assassination with Wei Wuxian, so that's always an easy excuse for where he got the info haha!

The mingle post is up here now and there are a few options whether he wants to address stuff with everyone or in private so feel free to go with what works! :3

UHO so they might run into each other investigating? Got it! If you want to just handwave that and they can compare notes after, that works fine for me.

(I'd be open to playing it out too, but you volunteered to be gossip organizer so I'm GUESSING YOU HAVE A LOT OF THREADS TO WRANGLE. Let me know if otherwise, though!)

Yep! And WELL, so far I don't have too many threads so if you'd like to thread it out I'm up for it! We can always leave it open to the option to just handwave the end of it in the future if it makes sense to move on with other threads but then you wouldn't have to assume too much pre-existing CR (which I know can be tricky!).
