September OOC Intro/CR Meme!

Tanabata, and the opening of Sai no Kawara in the Underground, ended in a terrible (but still mild by the way things in this game go) incident where the rebellious daughter of the ultra wealthy Finance Wolf Kaberou Kannazaki and OH BOY is that a huge bounty for her return!

With the stakes high (and personal, at least in the case of the Shuten Clan), each faction is going to be making their own attempts to Save The Girl and Get The Prize, with the Iron Bear and his clan of (possibly Haniyasu worshipping) scavengers standing between them and victory.

SO! What this means is this first month will be focus on setting the stage for a race through the wasteland, and the big event next month will focus on that, as well as which faction will ultimately succeed. SO YEAH THERE'S STUFF HAPPENING.

All the while, with spook season coming, things almost seem too normal in the city, all Iron Bear kidnapping rock star prodigal daughters aside. Surely that means nothing...

Matoba is after the hihi'rogane that the bullets during the Night Parade attack were made after, if he can't source it from bullets leftover from then. He only needs a very small amount, enough to make an arrowhead or two! It's unlikely it'll be easy or possible to get yet, I'm gonna be asking the mods later on to see once the Sutoku's hold on the market and their investigations of the Wasteland are deeper in.

As for his contributions he can definitely supply wards that will prevent spells that allow enemies to spy on them or youkai that might try to eavesdrop in their vicinity! He doesn't have any spells regained for outright obfuscation but he can give suggestions on other ways to avoid being spied on or tricked by ayakashi who do have those powers.

oho those would certainly be dangerous enough to be black market goods. gotcha, yuri can keep an eye out for the materials if by chance they're attainable. and if not, perhaps there are other magical trinkets that may interest matoba!

He's definitely interested in other magical items off the black market, especially as he'd like to inspect anything coming in to make sure it won't pose a danger to the city like the haniwa were.

Yes! If he's gonna bring it up at the Sutoku mingle or what-have-you, Matoba will just tag into him there!

I thought about it and he'd rather not say outright he's dealing in the black market, but you can assume he's mentioned it to matoba in private since he's a lieutenant!

Hmmm, I think Matoba would rather not talk about it on the network for obvious safety reasons LOL So I would rather this be something they discuss in-person. If you plan to have a log up this month I can tag into that!
