September OOC Intro/CR Meme!

Want to jump right in? This month's Substories are posted here!. As for what's been going on...

Tanabata, and the opening of Sai no Kawara in the Underground, ended in a terrible (but still mild by the way things in this game go) incident where the rebellious daughter of the ultra wealthy Finance Wolf Kaberou Kannazaki and OH BOY is that a huge bounty for her return!

With the stakes high (and personal, at least in the case of the Shuten Clan), each faction is going to be making their own attempts to Save The Girl and Get The Prize, with the Iron Bear and his clan of (possibly Haniyasu worshipping) scavengers standing between them and victory.

SO! What this means is this first month will be focus on setting the stage for a race through the wasteland, and the big event next month will focus on that, as well as which faction will ultimately succeed. SO YEAH THERE'S STUFF HAPPENING.

All the while, with spook season coming, things almost seem too normal in the city, all Iron Bear kidnapping rock star prodigal daughters aside. Surely that means nothing...

Brief Rundown: A grouchy teenage mech pilot preparing to fight against the kaiju invading her world through the use of a giant robot known as a Sentinel. A mission gone horribly wrong left her with brain trauma that contributes to frequent pain and memory loss. Quiet, introverted grumpy girl who doesn't trust easily and reacts to people being nice to her like she's being offered a dead rat on a stick. Has a warm, compassionate fluffy center under the hundreds of layers of protective spikes and depression grime. Please be sure to check out her opt out as Ryoko touches kind of unavoidably on some stuff that might be upsetting for folks and I want to make sure everyone's fully informed going in.

Initial Ideas: For this first month, I'm not looking to get too involved in plotty stuff and am mostly concerned with getting Ryoko stuck in and settled. On her part, she's probably going to do this by taking on too many jobs and working herself to exhaustion. Aside from that, she'll be feeling out the ins and outs of the factions, poking and prodding to get a sense of tensions and alliances and most of all, snooping for whatever info she can find that might be useful down the line.

CR Desires: Co-workers! Fellow clan members! Ryoko is very much in a goal-oriented mindset right now so she'll click better and more immediately with people who are similarly driven to her. OOCly, though, I'd love for her to make some friends or at least get some friendly CR going and for some very powerful introverted types to not be put off by her crabby girl act. For this first month or so, she's going to be overworking herself to a dire extent so I'd love for someone to sit her down and have a "slow and steady wins the race" talk with her when she inevitably passes out at work or something.

I would also love for some older characters to look out for her or to eventually have a sort of mentor-y relationship to build towards but right now, Ryoko's in a mind to be very distrustful of adults so that's probably more of a long term CR goal to work towards eventually. But it is on the table!

Finally, just as a side note more than anything else - I'll be updating my permissions to mention it, but I am not interested in pursuing any casually smutty stuff in Tamamo and I won't be touching on many of the NSFW aspects of the clan. I absolutely don't mind characters talking about and acknowledging it ICly I'm just not interested in it for Ryoko right now. I'm totally down for shippy stuff if it develops but. lol. lmao. if you want to commit yourself to the world's slowest slowburn then feel free!!

Tell us about yourself: Big fan of all kinds of things - mainly into Call of the Night right now (obviously), plus some of the old IDW Transformers comics, Tolkien, various anime and manga... dabble in all kinds of things, really. Love reading about history! Work the ol' 9-to-5, so sometimes tagging is limited during workdays, but generally I try to be pretty quick and get a tag back within 24 hours at least (usually shorter and I've been known to boomerang). Currently share a home with a lovely kitty cat called Morrigan, who is adorable. Also have an interest in tabletop RPGs and wargaming! Also playing FFXIV and working on the latest savage tier with my static; I'm on Crystal, so hmu if you wanna game or something.

Brief Rundown: Kou comes from modern-day Japan, essentially. He is (was) your average middle school kid. An honors student, even - but after an exchange with some other students at his school, he basically noped out and stopped going and instead decided to wander around the urban cityscape of his home city instead. He found it freeing and way cooler and along the way he met a vampire and ended up deciding hey, you know what, I want to be a vampire. So he's working on that! And getting mixed up with a whole bunch of vampire and supernatural shenanigans along the way and discovering who he is and figuring himself out as he goes through this early stage of his youth/adulthood. He's got a good heart and wants to help people and see people find themselves, all while he's still figuring himself out. Got a pretty logical mind (he's said he might be a detective if he doesn't become a vampire), but he's also a giant dork. Because, you know, fourteen year old.

Initial Ideas:
-Figure out this whole faction thing and what he's going to be doing for Sutoku.
-Explore the city and start finding cool places to hang out (mostly at night).
-Maintain his nocturnal schedule, because he still likes the emptiness of a city at night
-Meet some new people and see how the city shapes up.
-Explore the nightlife. Although maybe nothing too racy.

CR Desires: Looking for friends, rivals, and enemies! Although he doesn't go out of his way to make enemies and he'll probably honestly try to make friends with them somehow or at least resolve differences with dialogue. Any kind of CR is good CR for him right now.

Anything else: As a warning, his canon involves a relationship with a pretty large relative age-difference (it's complicated; he's fourteen/fifteen, Nazuna is like forty and they're in an interesting spot) and if that isn't your bag, feel free to let me know and I can not bring it up or if you'd rather not tag at all, that's cool too! Brief Rundown:

Background | Majima is a Tokyo yakuza who arguably 'managed' to piss off his boss and was disappeared to a black site, where he was tortured for a year. Once they let him out, he was kept as a civilian pet in rival yakuza territory. He was very depressed and traumatized. He's coming to you from Slumscape, which was traumatizing in its own right. That does also mean he's actually very familiar with yokai and has his own. His yokai is an Uwabami (snake) by the name of Chijoku. Joku is a little bit of shit stirrer, but for the most part Majima's well-being is his well-being and he mostly just wants to eat and drink all the time.

🐍 Slumscape snake changes: fangs, slit eyes, split tongue, scales, and a tail.

👹 In Jigoku-cho Majima is a pretty prominent Shuten lieutenant. He is demonstrably loyal to the clan and Toraguma's interests. He knows a lot more about the yakuza life than a lot of other Lost Souls and is perfectly willing to answer questions. He would rather just answer the question before someone goes and does something stupid, only to end up hurt. With his various regains, he is fleshing out yokai levels of strength and ability. He has no problems with being half-yokai at this point and takes some pride in representing the Uwabami for Chijoku.

🐍 He's been more serious about not being a depressed sack and instead acting like the ruthless yakuza he would rather be when he grows up.

💄 He's got a drag persona named Goromi. She works part-time at whatever hostess club wants to rotate her in on a night. She has a beautytuber channel and a local fan club.

He has improved recently, but it's a new ability to him from canon so I am game to have him continue to be training about it for quite a while.

🐍 Plot - For the upcoming outing into the Wasteland, Majima could mentor/lead a small group of people. I think I could handle a group of 5? Majima doesn't have to be in the driver's seat of this the whole time, the others should definitely shine! But it is a tool to facilitate some things, if you're interested. (And we can start with this prompt to introduce the group dynamic?)

NAZUNA NANAKUSA

Character Name: Nazuna Nanakusa
Canon: Call of the Night
Character Age: 39. She looks like she's twenty. Also she's looked like she was twenty since she was about three months old, and she wasn't even sentient for about fifteen years. Listen vampires are complicated okay.
Character Height: 4'11.5". She wears some monstrous heels at all times, so she'll probably look around 5'2" or 5'3".
Faction: Tamamo
Brief Rundown: In Nazuna's world, vampires are creatures of the night - sensual beings that know how to toe the line between what's acceptable and what's not, provocateurs that make humans fall in love with them through carefully cultivated fronts. By biting a human that loves them, a vampire procreates, turning a human into their offspring - a process referred to as "taking a servant."

Nazuna is basically the antithesis of all that. She's an utter gremlin, makes terrible and tasteless sex jokes, has absolutely zero interest in long term relationships or procreation, and would really rather get drunk and play videogames in her apartment. She's the utter worst at being a vampire and I love her for it.

Initial Ideas: Right now, the biggest thing I want for Nazuna is for her to get a feel for the whole faction thing. She's very set on her own independence; she doesn't like being obligated or expected to do things at all, especially when they involve hard work. That said, Tamamo's particular brand of work is right up her alley, and she'll probably find ways to fit into that environment much quicker than she might initially think!

The second thing I want is for Nazuna is just... buddies. Drinking buddies! Fighting buddies! Buddies who are anxious and would really rather not have an attractive young woman kissing them because "that's just what friends do, what do you mean!" (I'm looking at you, Leviathan~~~) Nazuna has, at this point in canon, had maybe three real friends in her whole life - and finding more people to spend time with and relax around would be a real treat for her.

Finally: Nazuna is a Tamamo and is probably going to explore the more sexual space of all of that. Horny for someone that looks like a model in half her shots and a badly-drawn muppet in the other? Nice. Nazuna's your gal. She also has a nasty habit of kissing the people she makes friends with, because she's pretty sure that's just what friends do, so there's room for all sorts of shenanigans here!

CR Desires: Pretty much anything's on the table! I'm looking for more positive than negative CR - or at least genuinely negative CR. Like, I'm a-okay with Nazuna being a petty jerk at people for stupid things, and the kind of one-sided rivalries that pop up from that can be hilarious to work with! I'd just rather not have her deal with too much "you're a monster and need to be eradicated" on her first month, lmaoooo

Also, as mentioned before, people blurring the line between friend and attraction are a particular source of fun for her! As long as it doesn't get explicitly romantic, she'll love that sort of thing. (The moment feelings get brought up, she's getting the hell out of Dodge. Sorry! Not sorry!)

Anything else: So there's one important thing to note, which is that Call of the Night deals with some pretty big content warnings - particularly age gap, sexuality, and violence. For obvious reasons, I've got an opt-out post that also doubles as an opt-in located here. If you opt out for any reason, I'll avoid tagging you with Nazuna, no questions asked and no hard feelings; additionally, even if you DON'T opt out, I will explicitly not bring up anything regarding the complicated age gap ICly unless you've opted in here. I'd really appreciate people filling this out so I don't step on any toes!!

Brief Rundown: hailing from a manga where humans and aliens live among one another under the watchful eye of the alien management organization (the AMO), shou is a teenager with super bad luck in that he was attacked by a wolf alien named silver when he was six years old and as a result, he gained regenerative abilities so advanced that he is functionally immortal! he also turns into a cool monster under regenerative duress and tends to kill things with his teeth. he was taken in and raised by his future boss, amamiya reiji. because shou couldn't be killed and reiji sucks, reiji trained him up to be a weapon and so shou does his best to believe that he's a tool rather than a person, even if his body disgusts him and he struggles with never wanting his powers in the first place. kids and fun! he has a cute partner back home that he will be missing. this canon may have time travel nonsense, further insanity tba.

Initial Ideas:

— enjoying being stripped of his powers. ironically, shou is going to bask in being functionally mortal while it lasts because at heart, he's always wanted to feel normal. if he can help it, he's going to not tell anyone about having that ability. i do have plans for him to regain it eventually, but for now he's going to be a normie and have a great time about it. so my main initial goals before ruining his life for a second time but with more feeling are to give him actual friends and let him get crushes and hold hands and go out to do social things like the teen he always wishes he could have been. nothing for his social skills because he's a little weirdo, but it's the thought that counts.

— that being said i think he will still trend towards being fighty and reckless as a baseline thing but i'd love for him to get a cute job somewhere outside of being fighty and reckless.

— on the opposite end of things, i definitely think he'll also struggle with not having a "purpose" despite always wanting to be more than a weapon. if you have a character who wants to prey on that and tempt a future-unkillable teenager to their side (finger guns)

— for substories: he would work best as a hunting dog and lackey for all of these, he's more the type of person to follow orders. he could make a great bouncer against thieves in at the poor internet cafe, could certainly be roped in to sniff out the drifter as he doesn't have much to offer the man himself, and sorry... to inter-clan buddies but if a higher ranking (or just more convincing) tamamo has a plan for sabotage, you could win him to your cause by touting it as a mission pretty easily.

Character Height: he is 3 feet 3 inches tall or exactly 100cm! he's a very small but angry robot hedgehog
Faction: department of the enma
Brief Rundown: okay so, you know how sonic the hedgehog is free spirited and fun loving and wants to go on cool adventures? metal sonic is kind of free spirited but hates fun and actually just wants to commit murder. he was initially created to just be sonic's doppleganger who was like beep boop i will kill sonic and he was content with that for a while, but after repeated failures and the logical error of "i am superior to sonic but i cant defeat sonic" kept coming up in his a.i brain he had an existential crisis and realised he couldn't keep relying on his creator to make him up to the task, he had to do it himself. he upgraded himself with a bunch of crazy new powers, stole the powers of a god of destruction, became a dragon..........and sonic beat him. he lamented this before passing out and ended up in-game at this point, so it's before eggman reprogrammed him to just be a silent no personality killing machine again.

personality wise metal is actually similar to sonic in more ways than you would think; he's impatient, he's extremely determined and he actually somewhat posesses sonic's habit of being a cocky jerk. however, they differ in that it's sort of a dark reflection of sonic rather than being his mirror image. he's impatient, but he's quick to violence, he's determined, but he tends to be determined to chase people to the ends of the earth so he can kill them. and while sonic is a carefree, fun loving person, metal is a no-nonsense person with little tolerance for distractions or goofing off. he's basically the no fun allowed meme of the robotnik robot...and ngl at this point he kind of doesn't have any redeeming qualities im sorry everyone, this is where the personality section ends

Initial Ideas: Metal is really just going to be finding his footing. The fact is he broke away from his creator and tried going solo but it didn't work out and he's sort of soul searching in a "machine that doesn't understand how to live" way. He's in the department of the Enma and that'll kind of vibe with him since he's happy...okay satisfied, he's never happy, to work for what he was offered but outside of that he's gonna have a lot of work to do in finding out what to do with all this newfound freedom of his.

CR Desires: Friends is kind of complicated because as a logical, no-nonsense machine it's going to be a hard sell. Metal's weakness in canon is he has no friends or comrades or allies or.......anything, honestly, and if he ever manages to get around that in-game it'll take a while. That being said, useful people he can come to rely on would be nice, as he'd be willing to be relied on in return in an equivalent exchange kinda way, which I would like to see if it could lead to him actually forming real bonds with people. I cannot guarantee that's how it will go because he is a villain, but his canon point will give him a bit more leeway with the possibility than his current canon self who I'd argue it's near impossible for.

Tell us about yourself: Existing player, I work in private security for a major tech conglomerate on PST night shift, so I'm usually around at night/early mornings and sleep during the day!

I like mountains, long walks through Silent Hill, and doing a lot of crafting on the side (from needlefelting to making tabletop dice to occasionally drawing). Fandom-wise, I'm into a little bit of everything that looks interesting! But the maintstays are currently Magnus Archives, FFXIV, Disco Elysium, Promare, WWDITS, and recently reawakened 30 year long interest in Ninja Turtles. I also just really love horror, moths, musicals, and magical girls. Most of my plurk is talking about RP, my cat, and occasionally whatever I'm watching/reading at that moment (currently being TGAA and Chainsaw Man manga... very slowly but surely).

Brief Rundown: Jon is the main character of a horror narrative podcast where he was an academic researcher at the Magnus Institute, a facility that focused on the esoteric and supernatural. He was looking for answers to something that happened to him as a child and got SO MUCH MORE. It resulted in him learning how his world works in tandem with cthulu-esque entities of Fear and eventually the world ended. He's having a pleasant time in Hell currently, even if he hates being in Enma.

Initial Ideas: Jon's been borderline miserable working in Enma while trying to get used to having his own humanity back, but now with Martin here he's going to be in better spirits. Like he's been super down with being human again and eating/tasting food For Real for the first time in several years, but being alone and not knowing things has been frustrating for him. Jon's been looking into the cursed blood rain and nightmares from July while also looking into the Wastelands and the "green place" Aerith mentioned for the most recent kidnapping of Ringo-chan. So anything that works to either of those ends he'll be digging up. One thing I'm really wanting to work on with him this month is his having spent 2 months getting used to not having his Beholding powers (his power to Literally Know Anything) and feeling all right with that, to being frustrated not having it, to suddenly having it again and concluding that he is actually still a monster and that descent into Ethically Eating People's Horror somehow.

CR Desires: Man right now he's wanting to will smith pose introduce Martin to anyone who'll listen. But I still welcome any and all negative CR (whether it's petty or actually dangerous, bring it) because Jon's just that kind of guy. I'm also down for helpful/positive CR because he's not used to people genuinely liking him and it throws him off. It's funny. But yes I would love for him to get to know more people and get all up in people's business. Let more and more people think he's just a normal nerd before his humanity is ripped from him again.

When Jon does get his Beholding powers back, I'll have an opt-in post for anyone who wants him to use that on their characters (please ...I am begging do not dm me the details, just wait until I get that regain). Brief Rundown: well. this is a boy who has been a gang leader since he was twelve. he is dead inside, as his eyes can tell you themselves. just so dead. his gang's name is tokyo manji, and it consists of... the entire tokyo revengers cast hafjks (kazutora a case apart). where he stands, it's pretty huge, and they control shibuya, so that's nice. mikey's got incredible presence and confidence, which makes him a super charismatic fucker, on top of being absurdly strong. his street name is 'the invincible mikey', because, well, no one's won against the fucker ever, and he's big on martial arts too! his family has a dojo and he has been duped as a prodigy since he was three. loves fighting, for the aforementioned reasons. just funny to me because he looks... soft as hell. look at him. pwincess. can't wait for him to get his ass handed to him.

that being said, for a kid of that level, he's like, 8. eats sweets all day, eats, sleeps, wakes up hungry, eats, sleeps, complains he's hungry, rinse, repeat. he's spoiled to bits, considering he doesn't even do his own hair, and he only wakes up to go to school (at lunch time) because draken wakes him. he's cute, fussy, childish, and his love language is touch, so.

oh, also. he has a "dark impulse" in which he dissociates and becomes extremely destructive and violent, so, he might kill all his loved ones before he knows it. fights it and waters it constantly. so that's fun.

Initial Ideas: unlike shin who runs from responsibility, mikey wants it, because that's how he does things his way and changes the way things are. so, i'll be gunning for rank within shuten. also, we have toman here, some from a future two years ahead of him, in which mikey could have seen better days, so trying to balance the dark impulse is going to be Fun. also, he'll ride and die for toman, so it might grow should mikey take a liking on people and people want to become part of the group, they're based on one for all and all for one, so that's Nice.

Aerith is sweet, kind, flirtatious and snarky; she's got a biting sense of humor that probably feels a bit pointed with how perceptive to others she is.

Aerith is a two star Tamamo, and has launched her flower shop, Dandelion. I have a mingle post here for anyone looking to come hassle her and the teens she's employed; if you ask for a job, too, Aerith will give you one. Faction matters little to her beyond thinking it has to do with what you're good at, so go ham.

Initial Ideas:

🎀 she'll be spending most of her time in tamamo this month, for once. between dandelion's grand opening, and helping out at tenkohime's private gardens like she's promised, she'll be wrapped up in flowers. i highly encourage trying to drag her off; i don't promise she won't put you to work to get her business done sooner, but the sentiment would be deeply appreciated!

🎀 i'll have aerith playing around on ember this month as usual, and that will likely be my only top level. "can't download a clue" sounds fun, and i'm down for aerith to bop people on the head over trying to sabotage stuff around her for "dogged the bounty hunters." she isn't interested in sabotaging anyone's efforts as she expects you to work with her.

🎀 aerith now has the ability to dreamwalk. based on her cetra abilities in canon, she can invade people's subconsciousness now! not even sleeping can save you from her chatterbox ways. this ability is locked to pre-existing cr, as it requires some level of bonding to encourage it to happen. you can read more about it on my regains page, if you feel so inclined, but the gist is that it's inspired by the aerith resolution scene that you can unlock in ff7r. this ability is not something she would use often.

🎀 clinic folks: aerith will be having a small fountain installed in the herbal garden and she will be attempting to keep it lightly stocked with rain water from her new healing rain ability. i'm handwaving this with permission from mira; feel free to ask aerith about it, heckle her, or whatever suits you. you can expect her in the clinic weekly.

Brief Rundown: Kojirou is not actually the historical Sasaki Kojirou, Musashi's greatest rival. He's just some farmer who picked up a sword and decided to try and kill a bird, but by a quirk of fate he ended up getting summoned in place of the historical Kojirou, who didn't actually exist, and he's been stuck with that identity since. And luckily for all involved, because the nameless wraith who became Kojirou might actually be the greatest swordsman in all of human history, he just never got a chance to prove it in life. For us old, old FGO players, he is the SAVIOUR OF FRANCE, SLAYER OF DRAGONS, THE REGEND, the God of 1 stars.

Initial Ideas: Look, Kojirou has no idea why the Tamamos wanted him. He's an ascetic who is more at home watching the stars alone on a mountaintop than in a red-light district. But the red-light district is what he has, and the wilderness of hell is what it is so he can't find a mountaintop to retreat to when it gets to be too much, or just to keep up with his training, so he's going to be off to find quiet places to hang and swing his sword.
Also a place to stick his sword if you know what I mean. (But why though, he's in the Tamamo.)

CR Desires: I'm up for all kinds of CR, but there is one very specific relationship Kojirou needs to have every time he's summoned: There must be a person, usually a pretty lady but not necessarily, who he spends way too much time annoying because he thinks they're hiding their true strength. Brief Rundown: A mafia executive who has pretty much always lived life on the shady side of things, in one way or another. He likes booze, fighting, hats and music. He's temperamental, fiery and a bit wild, never turns down a challenge and likes having a good time. For being a career criminal with absolutely zero shame about it, his most redeeming trait is most certainly his loyalty, and he has a habit of getting attached to people fairly quick, so he's generally quite friendly as long as someone doesn't press his buttons. Yeah he's got tons of blood in his ledger, but he's also the type of guy to care deeply and look out for his people.

That being said: feel free to press his buttons, the fireworks are delightful and he's hilariously loud. He's got the '5'3 with a personality 10x his size' thing going on. He's also well suited to the setting, so I'm looking forward to hitting the ground running, hopefully!

He's coming fresh from a very recent canonpoint that kind of kicked his ass majorly in the manga, so if spoilers are a problem please tell me! I'll try to warn for anything past chapter 100 for a few months more, just in case.

And for characters from Japanese settings: Yes, he is named for and inspired by that Chuuya Nakahara, because all Bungo Stray Dogs characters are inspired by famous authors. Feel free to have your characters notice this if you like.

Initial Ideas: I'm mostly planning to hit the ground running with Chuuya trying to settle in, struggling a bit for various reasons, and adjusting to not having the supernatural power he's pretty much always had as far as he's aware of. Gonna roll with the punches and have a blast tormenting him, basically.

CR Desires: Everything and anything! I'm fresh to the game and Chuuya gels well with quite a lot of different CR types.

-Friends or Frienemies. He can be pretty friendly, and he's also an entertaining guy to get combative with, so either/both works!

He's a walking mess of spoilers but the simplest run down is he's just been pulled from just before a very important series of battles to Save the World and Prevent Basically The Apocalypse so he might be a little pressed about that. he's pretty friendly, kind of a flirt, and kind of a chaos gremlin with a good heart. but also he lies, he hides shit, he dodges certain topics like a pro and he's (aggressive spoiler noises).

Brief Rundown: She is the elegant, sheltered, and introverted princess of the Kamisato clan who has been protected all her life that making friends is H A R D. She's very kind, gentle and well-loved by pretty much her entire nation because she cares about everyone, is a diligent and honorable member of society, and manages every public occasion in Inazuma. If her brother is sussiest sus you will ever meet, she's quite the opposite and wears her heart on a sleeve.

Initial Ideas: I don't have a lot of concrete plans with her at the moment. It's more of settling down, figuring out that she can't stay with Thoma or Ayato, and having an "independent woman" moment that's going to be very nerve-wracking.

Substories and events-wise, Ayaka is always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone. She doesn't discriminate AT ALL and while she can be pretty wary because of the amount of assassination attempts her clan had pretty much gone through, give her a sob story and she'll cave and help you out. I'll probably tag around to see what fits the bill for her.

Brief Rundown: Heizou is a lively, free-spirited detective, and a Doushin within the Tenryou Commission of Inazuma. He tends to dance to the beat of his own drum and many people who know him view him as capricious and even untrustworthy - the former is true, the latter not so much. Heizou decided a long time ago that one should be evil's natural enemy, as the damage had already been done despite any attempt to cover it, and he takes this attitude very seriously. Sharp-minded, perceptive and highly principled he prefers to use his mind to solve problems before resorting to physical fighting, but he is also incredibly agile and capable of subduing people twice his size in melee combat.

Though he is viewed as difficult to get along with Heizou is charming and flirtatious and comes across as someone who wouldn't be difficult to befriend. Possessing a wild imagination and rarely found sitting still, he relies on what he views as his natural gift of intuition to undertake his work.

He's basically Genshin Impact's answer to Sherlock Holmes, if Sherlock Holmes was a tiny fantasy-Japanese man who knew how to talk to people. Please feel free to have your character realise this at any point. He also enjoys fried food and sightseeing.

Initial Ideas: As I'm currently dealing with an endgame in another game I am not going to launch myself too hard into things right away, but I do want to work on building a good CR base for Heizou to bounce off. He's not someone who is used to having a lot of friends because people tend to find him exasperating, but I feel like that could be different here and he will be surprised by that (but also wary).

CR Desires: As stated above, Heizou is very charming but also very exasperating! He can get along with just about anyone on a surface level but deeper friendships is where he might struggle. So, with that in mind.

Initial Ideas:
- Kim is from a regular-ass earth with no powers or demons and stuff, and as she is from 2003, most of this Japan stuff is gonna go over her head. Culture shock of all varieties! This is nothing like Albuquerque!!
- Expect to see her sinking into how Enma does things very fast to fit in + get her stride, with an initial fear of boat-rocking.
- She'll want to figure out what's going on with the legal situation in the city, too.
- Her husband is in Sutoku –– interesting loyalty snafu.

CR Desires:
- Fellow legal/law enforcement people... she wants to network.
- Kim is very much afraid of violence + has absolutely nothing in the way of fighting skill or weapon handling ability. If you want someone to spook/bully, she's around.
- Things you can easily connect with Kim on: food & drinks, classic movies, The Law, general white-collar workaholism.
