Character Name: Azula Canon: Avatar: The Last Airbender (Post-series comics) Character Age: 16 Faction: Enma Brief Rundown: Fire Nation princess, child soldier, firebending prodigy, devious mastermind, terrible person, giant train wreck. She's completely incapable of healthy and normal social interactions, but that's okay, she makes up for it by playing machiavellian power games with literally everybody she interacts with ever. Don't worry, she's not a total nutcase, she's perfectly capable of getting along with people, being civil, and playing nice in the short-term.
Usually.
Unless she's upset.
Which is a lot easier to do lately.
Initial Ideas: Her immediate priority will be to ingratiate herself with her faction, gain a good reputation, and grow in social standing. She needs leverage. Also she wants her bending back. (And having a concrete goal is... helpful.)
It's probably the most civil and cooperative you'll ever see Azula being. Expect her to be very willing to work with people and helpful within faction, and even open to work across-faction if she thinks it will benefit her social standings, or benefit the Enma and thus reflect well on her. If you can persuade her it's in her best interest, she'll probably do it. If you can't persuade her but want to try anyway... well, hey, the fallout will be hi-larious.
(Do NOT expect her to actually be easy to get along with on a personal level, because she will not do so reliably. Let's not ask for miracles here.)
Regarding Substories: This Stardust nonsense sounds like a very good way for a newcomer who doesn't yet have her firebending back to please her new employers. As such, she'll be collecting and turning in all the stuff she can get her hands on.
TL;DR Azula is gonna be stealing drugs for the cops.
CR Desires: I'm down with basically anything! Azula isn't, but who cares what she wants?
Azula is not good at people, except in a purely manipulative sense. Would love enemies and negative CR, would love long-term rivals (whether respected or not), would love reluctant/vitriolic allies, frenemies, or other strained partnerships, would love people who flummox her by actually being genuinely nice to her despite her being a horrible troglodyte, I'm down for whatever you throw at this lunatic. Inter-faction, cross-faction, she is available for all your unstable and difficult needs.
Anything else: In general, if I have an issue with an idea, I'll let you know and it'll be 'no harm/no foul.' Still working on her permission post, but I'm not gonna spring anything too wild on anybody without warning. If a thread is bumping up against a hard 'no,' feel free to contact me and I'll happily rework as needed.
