Welcome Lost Souls! And also, welcome to this round's group of new players!

Firstly, the game officially opens (as in IC posting is allowed) on March 5th. What's on the plate for this month? Well there's the Substories for this month you can get started on, and the overall mood of the city is that everyone is preparing for this year's Night Parade, a major event meant to foster a unity within the community and promote (relative) peace between the various factions!

Unfortunately, tensions are very high with the new Lost Souls coming in, and while on the surface the Factions seem to be working together to make the parade success, internally each of them believes the other is plotting for a power grab at the event.

What's gonna happen? Stay tuned and find out...

Tell us about yourself: Hi there! My name is Ariel and I’m a freelance artist by night and a video game streamer by day-ish (I sometimes stream in the middle of the night.) I’m quite fond of drawing and listening to lofi hip-hop stations. My favorite video games include the critically acclaimed Final Fantasy series, Elden Ring, Tekken, Genshin Impact, and of course Devil May Cry. I’m really into the Sims as of late much to my horror. I never thought I would like that game but it’s actually pretty fun with the right mods. Besides video games, I really do enjoy animes like Demon Slayer, Attack on Titan (or…did), Ranking of Kings, and various other animes (like the movie Belle). Outside of video games and anime, I do enjoy Kdramas (especially the movie Love & Leashes & Wish You) I’m also very much addicted to technology and I like to build PCs.

Brief Rundown: Dante is an edgy paranormal vigilante/mercenary/private investigator turned Devil Hunter who knows how to look badass while kicking ass and taking names. He’s the son of the Legendary Dark Knight, a powerful demon that vowed to protect the mortal world. Dante took up his father’s mantle after his mother was killed by demons and his brother was corrupted. He’s been fighting against the malevolent supernatural forces of Hell for decades. Dante is a complete badass through and through but under that tough-guy persona, he's actually quite chivalrous with a strong sense of duty. He’s quite known for his signature red leather coat and stark white hair.

Initial Ideas: I’m pretty much just going for the flow for now! I’m open to any and all ideas, especially among fellow Shuten Clan members. Dante will be introducing himself to folks, expect to see this crazy bastard at a bar near you!

Also, I don't mind making the TDM threads canon for the game proper. Except, well...he's a Shuten guy instead of a Tamamo one.

Anyways, sure! We can make the tdm thread canon. I wouldn't mind at all since their factions didn't play much of a role there. I was trying to be as open-ended as possible with my terrible prompts.

The Pink Nuisance strikes again! Aerith reminds Dante so much of Patty, this young girl he protected back in the say shortly after his adventures in the original DMC. He thinks Aerith is so adorable but nosy, much like Patty!

Oh, Dante will be bobbing and weaving for a while! He's very cagey about his past. Poor Dante has trust issues and honestly, he doesn't want to scare Aerith about telling too much about himself.

Okay so Kamui is both Shuten and a friend of Travis Touchdown, another ridiculous action game guy with a very recognizable cool red jacket, so HONESTLY… I would be remiss to not have him run into him at least once ahahaha. The Shuten clan bar fights are gonna be insane.

HILARIOUSLY, yes! He’s a more serious and even keeled guy than most of the Shuten crew, but he got in on the whole taking your own destiny by the reins thing, not by being a rowdy boy. So now he’s here to chaperone yall and be enabled into chaos. He’ll be equally appreciative and exasperated of Dante’s hamminess, bless.

Highly recommend if you ever wanna pick it back up again, it’s all on Switch now!!! Kamui is from the midquel Travis Strikes Again, just as all the crazy Suda51 crossover stuff started happening— he is originally from another game and knows an older and wiser (?? ish??) 37 yo Travis. x)

I feel like I should apologize now on Dante's behalf, especially since he will be an agent of chaos and buffoonery for months to come! Granted, he's a little less rambunctious than he was back in the day but not by much.

I'm going to have to get a Switch! I had no idea Nintendo brought No More Heroes to that platform. Then again, I've been away in FFXIV for such a long time.

hahahah I don't play XIV but I have several friends who have been roped in so I get it! The NMH1/2 ports weren't super well publicized, but they're there, as are Travis Strikes Again and NMH3! Don't listen to everyone who says to skip TSA it is VERY GOOD

and yessss, he is now married to Sylvia (?!?!) and has twins (?!?!??!?!) and spent some time living off the grid in a trailer somewhere in the woods of Texas. That's the dude Kamui met, not the younger dumber guy in Santa Destroy!
