Sholmes is a highly competent detective whose main skills lie in observation, investigation, and problem-solving. If there is a mystery to unravel, he is interested by default — in this case, he has been invested in figuring out the circumstances behind the containment zone's breach from the start, and is eager to pick up any clues regarding who might have been the saboteur. There would definitely be no lack of enthusiasm on his part.
Basically, he would fit into the sleuth archetype fairly well within a group dynamic, able to pick out details (both minor and critical) that less observant individuals may miss, as well as draw generally accurate conclusions from the evidence available.
