Hi guys!

I'm Mira, and I play Emily here, and I'm coming to you to offer some plans for a player run business which I hope can be useful to everyone. Since her arrival, Emily's noted the general state of medical care for those in the factions, and thought that certainly they can make something better - both on a lower price point, and when it comes to who's linked to who. To that end, she's been saving her money to start work on making a medical clinic that will treat anyone regardless of their faction, and at the end of the month/beginning of May, she'd be ICly starting on creating the space, especially in the wake of the funeral.

So, what's needed?

• People to help set things up - ideally, those she's treated that she can then call in a favor from. A little physical labor never killed anyone.
• Access to supplies - anyone who's willing to help sweettalk things so the place can get on its feet with the items it needs. If you can make people feel like doing things for the greater good, please hop in.
• And most importantly, other healer sorts. Whether your care hinges on magic or medicine, Emily will have quietly put the word out that she's trying to get in contact with other Lost Souls with the same inclinations. Those who can craft healing items as well as perform procedures are equally valued. There will always be ways to incorporate both new and old characters in this - the more of a network they have, the better.

That said, the clinic comes with a few caveats - namely, that everything will be running at a loss until it gets established enough (don't quit your day job yet), and that this cannot be blatantly advertised on the network. Giving recommendations on who to call and what street to go to are fine, but since the business itself will be neutral in order to fairly treat everyone, Emily will be strict in her interviews on the fact that the clinic can't become notably known in the eyes of the faction leaders. Word of mouth and discretion are the name of the game - else, she'll have to register it as a Sutoku business rather than getting the okay from the higher ups, and she will if things start to get sticky.

Ohhh this is really interesting and would be something Jin Guangyao would like to help with. From already having a really good impression of Emily from Hakagemachi, he has some basic medical knowledge From treating himself and er torturing people but we don't talk about that and would be open to learning and helping out more. He would also agree that having some neutral spaces that are hidden from faction leaders that can take care of people would be good.

He can offer his skills in bookkeeping, and organization, and has pretty dextrous and stable hands when it comes to delicate work.

Rolls in here to the surprise of no one lmao but Ryouma would try to see that some of his fundraising/supply gathering efforts go Emily's way since she's ultimately out here trying to help everyone too. He also totally gets the need for doing business on the DL so he's good there lol. He's trying to set up something that operates on the idea of a neutral operation or territory so there is a lot of reasons to want to support her operation!

He'd also help with some general setup things if she needed it but he'll probably be more useful overall with the logistics lmao she already probably knows he doesn't hardly sleep rip.

Given that he's been dealing with a rib injury since his arrival, Huaisang would definitely support this kind of endeavor. He doesn't have any medical experience but he is very skilled at spreading rumors and executing clandestine operations. Given his intimate occupation as a courtesan, he might be able to discreetly spread word through his patrons since he's providing his services to all factions himself. While he's working on racking up bonuses in his faction, he might slip some donations for supplies Emily's way when he can.

Yuri would like to help Emily out in turn, but being busy around this time himself, he'll probably sway a couple jobless Kappa to go in his place.

Van Zieks' has received and appreciated Emily's impartial treatment and would be very much inclined to help with the set-up. The man completely rearranges a whole collection of wine barrels once a week for a hobby, he can do some heavy working.

He's going to ask to not hear about any sweettalking and other shady business though, because if he did know too much he'd be in a bind if a superior asked him for the information. Just make him carry things and don't inform him much otherwise for ideal results!

Haruka would be interested. She has no medical knowledge but she can certainly sweet talk and handle random labor or tasks. Would that be welcome?

Kim isn't willing to devote the bulk of his time to this, especially since he's only scraping by with funds, but will be happy to help with set-up and organizing the set-up of the clinic, especially since he ran around doing basic first-aid during the Night Parade. That said, he'll give Emily his number and will let her know if they're ever overrun with patients at any point and he's not busy with fieldwork, he'd be happy to assist with basic first-aid.

He would also encourage her to, at some point, set up basic first-aid classes. He'd be happy to be a basics instructor in that case as well, but that's for further down the line!

Shinobu's main line of work is more combative than supportive but she does run an estate back home that acts as a rehabilitation center for demon slayers that have been wounded in battle and in that position she is essentially the head doctor of that business. I'd love for Shinobu to become involved in this, but she's also... a stickler for order and justice and (SADLY...) does not view the more deviant residents of Jigoku as people who deserve treatment (she kills oni rip). I think this would make for very interesting CR, considering Shinobu would have to push her prejudices aside to help whoever comes through the doors of the future clinic, regardless of their faction. She'd have her own criticisms of Emily's goal, but in the end she'd realize what she's trying to achieve here and would try to Make the Change for the better good.

Yo! Yizhi knows some amount of healthcare (personal headcanon is that he's first-aid trained + interned/volunteered at a clinic previously to polish his resume for med school), so he might be able to help as an assistant or clinic receptionist. That being said, he might be pretty busy in May with the turf war, so I don't know if he'll be able to devote that much time to the clinic....

This is an indication of interest for now! Yizhi will more likely offer ad hoc help (sweet talking Tamamo drugstores for supplies, or showing up for a day to help with cleanup) in the upcoming month.

We have already chatted about this but for posterity’s sake: Kamui has been treated by Emily before and owes her a favor even prior to them being friends, so count him in. Most of what he’s good for is grunt work; however, he also has a fucked up sleep schedule and would be willing to be around to help the night shift especially with his new power regain.

already mentioned this to you but! aerith would toss her hat into the ring here, too. in addition to /waves hands healing powers she'll regain at some point soon maybe, she tagged around with kim at the night parade post assassination, and learned some basic first aid on the spot. she's generally pretty willing to devote a good amount of time to this and would be down to clown at the drop of a hat provided she's unable to get to the clinic for any reason.

she's in tamamo and isn't above say, calling in favors for clients she's had, too. basically, tell her what you need and she'll scramble to get it. 😇

Unfortunately the Matoba "excel at destruction" and not at being healers or defenders LOL so Matoba doesn't have the greatest manner for this sort of thing BUT, he does want to repay his debt to Emily for patching him up. He is capable of providing protective wards that can help protect parts of the space from youkai with malicious intent, if that's something she's interested in.

Other than that- if there's any risk of rumors spilling out about the place, especially within the Sutoku, Matoba will do what he can to step in to redirect or squash the rumors... Just give him a ring if you need some dirty work done, Emily 👀

Wei Wuxian is sadly the opposite of a healer, but he's already been sweet-talking locals for supplies/logistics around Yuri's housing project (and in some setup for Ryouma's upcoming Underground proposal), so he'd be happy to do some of that for Emily if she lets him know what she needs!

He wouldn't make a big deal of it, but he really does not know what to do with the increased pay from gaining rank in Sutoku either, so he'd be happy to regularly pass a portion of his earnings to the clinic as well.
