+1 it is absolutely asinine that the response here is just "oopsie doopsie we can't disseminate information" when you're working it into a plot. but my opinion is slightly more thorough here:
even if a player plot is not directly tied into the main plot, information should be disseminated about it, and that should be on the mods. if it is a large enough deal that it is being discussed with the mods, and potentially involving NPCs or long-standing consequences (for instance: the bombing of shuten would still be something shuten should have been informed about before it happened, whether or not it was integrated into the main plot!!!!) then it is a large enough deal that people should be aware of what's happening. do you know how easy it is to have plots happen among characters by themselves, without getting the mods involved? obviously it's not expected for the mods to step in and allocate information when that happens, and i don't think anyone would expect you to, but when it is formally a Player Plot being Discussed with Mods to Discuss The Fallout?
at that point, that's the mods' responsibility. it is frankly insane that withholding information from players is something that the mod team seems to think is normal and sitting here going "well that's actually all on you guys" is...boy. it sure is something.
