Yes it is feasible. In Tamamo territory, he can find at least one in one of the empty, closed soaplands not far from Mizukume. How he finds this is up to you.

As for the bomb itself, it's an exceptionally crude thing, it's genuinely just some home-made nitrate explosives attached to some gas cans. Though, that itself would seem unusual; gasoline isn't really a *thing* in Jigokucho, since the primary energy source is soul energy from the river. Beyond that, his training should help him diffuse the trigger to the explosive itself, but a backup failsafe in the bomb will send a charge into the gas cans, trying to start a fire if nothing else.
